LeBron Raymone James Sr., born December 30, 1984, is an American professional player of the basket who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful basketball players ever and has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player in history. James has taken home four NBA championships and four NBA MVP awards 4 NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James has scored the most points during the playoffs, the second most career points and is the seventh player with the most ever assists. James has been named to be an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times. He has also been selected to his place on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. Ten NBA Finals, the most than any other player in the history of basketball. He was a part of eight continuously from 2011 through 2018. In 2021, James was picked to join be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022, he became the very first to be the first player from NBA history to score 10,000 + points in a career rebounds and assists. James, who was born in Akron Ohio, played basketball at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. National media celebrated him as a possible NBA star. James was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the top choice in the NBA draft in 2003. He was named one of the NBA most promising rookie in the 2004. Soon he became one of the premier athletes of the NBA, winning the NBA MVP Award both 2009 and 2010. James, who did not take home the title in Cleveland at the time, left Cleveland as free agent, and then joined in the Miami Heat. This was revealed within The Decision. It is one of the most controversial moves made by a sports free agent ever.
